Publisher's Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
One month. Two rivals. A plot twist they didn't see coming....
Nora is a cut-throat literary agent at the top of her game. Her whole life is books.
Charlie is an editor with a gift for creating best sellers. And he's Nora's work nemesis.
Nora has been through enough break-ups to know she's the woman men date before they find their happy-ever-after. That's why Nora's sister has persuaded her to swap her desk in the city for a month's holiday in Sunshine Falls, North Carolina. It's a small town straight out of a romance novel, but instead of meeting sexy lumberjacks, handsome doctors or cute bartenders, Nora keeps bumping into...Charlie.
She's no heroine. He's no hero. So can they take a page out of an entirely different book?
Set over one sizzling August, Book Lovers is the new chemistry-filled 'rivals to lovers' rom-com from New York Times number one best seller Emily Henry.

Story
Ellingham Academy is a famous private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. It was founded by Albert Ellingham, an early 20th century tycoon, who wanted to make a wonderful place full of riddles, twisting pathways, and gardens. "A place", he said, "where learning is a game." Shortly after the school opened, his wife and daughter were kidnapped. The only real clue was a mocking riddle listing methods of murder, signed with the frightening pseudonym "Truly, Devious".

Story
Hi, my name is Bree Camden, and I’m hopelessly in love with my best friend and star quarterback Nathan Donelson (so is half of America, judging by the tabloids and how much the guy dates). The first step is admitting it, right? Except, I can never admit it to him because he clearly doesn’t see me that way, and the last thing I want is for things to get weird between us. Nothing but good old-fashioned no-touching-the-sexiest-man-alive platonic friendship for us! Everything is exactly how I like it! Yes. Good. (I’m not crying; I’m just peeling an onion.)

I'm in the business of creating fairy tales. Theme parks. Production companies. Five-star hotels. Everything could be all mine if I renovated Dreamland. My initial idea of hiring Zahra was good in theory, but then I kissed her. Things spiraled out of control once I texted her using an alias. By the time I realized where I went wrong, it was too late. People like me don't get happy endings. Not when we're destined to ruin them.

Julia Whelan narrates a beautiful story by Emily H
This is my first book by Emily Henry. Julia does an amazing job of narrating it. I often tell people, that picking an audio book is not just about the book but also about the narrator. If you like reading romance novels that are funny and intelligent, this is your book. Enjoy the book and thank me later

Emily henry's writing is top tier
First ever romance book that seems to be written so well it doesn't feel kiddish or cliched. Emily Henry writes so damn funny and emotional.

Loved it!
It’s a cozy, beautiful story that’s extremely well written. As a book about book lovers who work in the publishing world, perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised to see how well it’s edited, how carefully it’s woven together into its best possible version. I paused so many times, bookmarking sentences that felt ‘just right’. Loved the many elegant phrases and beautiful metaphors. The story meandering along like a river till the very end. The voice artists too, did an amazing job! Overall, this book made me happy : )

Emily Henry's writing is so great
Emily Henry's writing is as great as everyone's says it is. I finally know why her books have been dominating all the shelves. Can't wait to get to her other books.
It's always so comforting to read books about books and this one was no exception. I loved that though this book is categorically romance, it's also about other contemporary topics like relationship between siblings and loving one's career and city so much, you don't ever want to leave either.
The dialogues are smart and witty. All the characters are always ready with a punch line. And I think the length of the book is just perfect. I also liked that the two didn't just fall in love because they are attracted to each other, they are alike in most aspects and deserving to turn from friends to lovers.
My only ick were the numerous references to the main guy's smirky pout / grimacing pout / pouting smile / other ridiculous facial descriptions.

THE CHARACTERS AND THE REASONS FOR THEIR PERSONALITIES ♥️
Overall story was great with the characters and their own backstories and traumas, bonding over their love for books, their families and the CITY. Great blend of love between lovers, between sisters, between parents and their children and how their actions affect their children into adulthood.
