About this listen

Once I was a fae princess with sea-magic at my fingertips. Now? I’m a hunted supernatural in a squalid shop, stripped of my power. My only comforts are stale cookies, Elvis records, and my hula-hoop. Then a lethally sexy fae king arrives and rips even those away.

After the brutal king throws me in prison, I strike a bargain with him: my freedom in exchange for helping him find a magic blade. What Lyr doesn’t know is that the blade might restore my stolen magic.

But as we journey, the gorgeous jerk starts to make me feel things I’ve never felt. When Lyr touches me, desire ignites. I see raging passion in his eyes too. If I give in, I risk losing my chance at reclaiming my power…and, even worse, I could be forfeiting my life.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

Oh! a story about Sea Fae! this should be cool and new... NOT

The story was too fast paced and established NOTHING, felt like a rehash of ACOTAR, it had so much potential with the whole tragedy of the princess and the mystery surrounding the island and the different fae within the sea fae, it but nope, we don't want to try anything new ofc. Ugh.

Now, narration... Most of the times, even with books that where I don't enjoy the story as much, listening to an audiobook always makes it so much more fun...

but this narration... it was almost worse than the book itself. It felt so dead and the accent was just annoying. Probably the first audiobook where I disliked the performance... and so much so that half way through I had to switch to ebook.
