If you have ADHD - or love somebody who does - DIRTY LAUNDRY will change your life, and your relationships.

Do you feel crippling shame because you struggle with cleaning, personal hygiene, or time-keeping? Do you always feel misunderstood by the people close to you and find that they get frustrated by your behaviour?

DIRTY LAUNDRY is an unfiltered look into the chaos of real life with ADHD. It will transform your self-hatred into self-acceptance, with simple tips that actually work for your brain. It will also help to educate partners, parents and friends, to help them move from frustration to patience, understanding - and love.

Learn how to:

  • Stop believing you are fundamentally broken
  • Stop judging yourself by the standards of a neurotypical world
  • Communicate your struggles to those who love you
  • Support someone with ADHD in ways that work for them
  • Be compassionate rather than judgemental
  • ...and much more.

From the husband-and-wife team behind social media phenomenon @ADHD_Love, whose viral videos have been viewed more than 200 million times, comes a fearless, often outrageously funny, account of life, learning, and growing with ADHD. They share the strategies they have used to reduce shame, improve communication, and find happiness in their neurodivergent household.

Filled with heartbreak and humour in equal measure, DIRTY LAUNDRY is an invaluable resource both for neurodivergents and the people who love them.

I cried

I cried through almost every story Rox told just nodding my head and hyperfocused through the entire book. I'm just glad i found them through whatever youtube algorithm was at work.

It is in noway a comprehensive guide to adhd but it is an examination of the shame which comes with failing to do things which come naturally to a lot of people. I felt there is always a double stress with anything in my life. the 1st stress is of failing at something and the other stress is the shame of failing. and just to understand that it's really just my brain and removing that 1 stress of shame feels like such a load of the mind. its like all my stresses were just cut in half. the mere acknowledgement of the fact makes me go into action mode like alright, so that was the issue, now i can just keep doing and failing and not beat myself up bcoz now i can just keep doing without the aftermath of guilt and shame and self hatred.

Thank you for making that tiktok guys. 💕

Did someone put a CCTV Camera in my brain/mind?

I was in tears while reading this book, and freaking out at the same time, because I felt somebody had put a CCTV camera in my mind/brain, to know my innermost thinking patterns. I used to think I was just a very crazy and lazy person, and even after I got a diagnosis of BPD, there were some aspects of my behavior or thought patterns or challenges that couldn't be explained. I listened to this book and a few others on ADHD because my child got a diagnosis on ADHD and I wanted to understand it better to provide better support as a parent. This book had me in tears because I could feel the pieces of the puzzle fitting in, and relief that I am not alone. Thanks a million for writing this book!
