About this listen
One king. A group of incorrigible women. Nine nights.
The demon-king, Mahisha, rules Jambudvipa with an iron fist. He wears the horns of a buffalo and has the will of a bull. With allies far and wide, his kingdom—usurped from the Aryas—is prosperous. All seems aboveboard. But Jambudvipa’s underbelly rots. Teeming with crime, sin, and greed, the city and its people are not what they seem. Most of all, Mahisha himself. With his iron fist comes immense cruelty, horrific violence… He must be stopped.
A girl wronged never forgets. Especially one made to witness her parents’ murder. And revenge, cold and sweet, will be taken. But Durga’s fight is far greater. And she needs allies. Luckily for her, women across professions are willing to fight the fight—a princess’ companion, a maid, a mercenary, a pirate. Alongside her. For her. For themselves. And they have nine nights.
For men and women in this ruthless world, salvation lies in this plan.

Ok Read
The start was good and some parts very gripping. However this is a book on Durga, using of F word wasn’t necessary. The narrator should train more on how to read.

Little bits of farrago..
First of all, I loved the narration of the story, hats off to Preeti Gupta. The story had a good starting, but eventually all ended up a bit messed up and at times extremely blunt with the situations, making it all sound too easy and too coincidental. Overall and okay listen because of the minor flaws in the story.

Feels like I'm listening a lesson
The narrator has a good voice. But the reading is just plain bad. Can't seem to finish this as it is read like a child in school. I tried to read Kalki series by the same author.. Very bad story telling. I don't need everything explained like what is happening in separate sentences.

Insilt to HINDU TRADITION
This is an insult to Hindu traditions..
DURGA DEVI is a god, and she is portrayed as an ASSASIN
GODESS GOWRI is portrayed as SICK HUMAN..
AND THE ROTUAL OF OFFERING MILK TO GODS IS INSULTED TO THE CORE.,
Please do not encourage such writers who USE LITERATURE AS A WEPON TO INSULT HINDUS AND HINDU GODS
