About this listen
Hindus are the third largest faith in the world, and yet many Christians know very little about their beliefs and lifestyle. This short book is designed to help both Christians and whole churches understand more about Hindus and to reach out to them with the good news of the Gospel.

Sadly this has too many errors to be useful
This story is written from the perspective of a fictitious Christian talking about a fictitious Hindu. First off, the condescending reference to idol worship, is a throwback to references of pagan ritual promoted by missionaries to convert the uneducated. They should be referred to as symbols to focus devotion, like Christian crosses, hands, hearts, doves, stained glass and statues of biblical characters etc. The perspective here is from some Hindus in the west and not Hindus in India, so be careful in transferring any of the ideas here to Hindus in India. The Christianity here is not specific. Is it Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Church of England, Calvinist etc. each of these Christian churches are bound to the good news, but have wildly different Christian ideas. Calvinists are uncomfortable with Catholic worship of Christian relics, and if the author was to visit a Christian church in India, they would be shocked at the number of Christian symbols that devotees pray to. Hindus "get" the whole love ideas through the link to Bhakti. Hindus respect everyone and allow them the freedom to choose their own spiritual path or no path. As for Gurus, Christians only have to look to the Saints to find gurus in Christianity.
The Christianity promoted here is new age and not necessarily broadly accepted. The quotes are selective, and avoid the numerous verses critical of other religions. Hindus don't need "New age" Christianity as they have Krishna who also states that the way to God is through his teachings, which are similar to Christs teachings, but left to the devotee to adopt.
Overall Hindus should be wary of Christianity, whose missionaries brought the word of Christ, while their government looked upon them as a source of cheap labor, and a route to amassing great personal wealth.
Overall I was hoping for a humanitarian understanding and not a continuation of misinformation.
