About this listen

With shades of The Hunger Games, Ender's Game, and Game of Thrones, debut author Pierce Brown's genre-defying epic Red Rising hit the ground running and wasted no time becoming a sensation. Golden Son continues the stunning saga of Darrow, a rebel forged by tragedy, battling to lead his oppressed people to freedom from the overlords of a brutal elitist future built on lies. Now fully embedded among the Gold ruling class, Darrow continues his work to bring down Society from within.

A life-or-death tale of vengeance with an unforgettable hero at its heart, Golden Son guarantees Pierce Brown's continuing status as one of fiction's most exciting new voices.

The narrator took an already amazing story to the next level. The second books in trilogy’s usually leave me disappointed as they largely serve as a filler, this novel however was fast paced and actioned action packed with a devastating ending. It’s got the elements needed for my to desperately reach for the next book as if my life depends on it.

Bloodydamn good

Gripping, faster paced than the first book since all the pieces are in place. The climax and twists are phenomenal.
Recommended to scifi and fantasy enthusiasts alike

Although not as gripping as the first book, this one is good enough to keep you interested. and the narration as usual, is spot on. Definitely worth a listen.

A strong sequel

Interesting stories with a lot of plot twists. Very ‘Hunger games’ kind of feeling but still very interesting to read and follow up.

A proper follow up of Book 1

Amazing escalation of the overall story from the first book…while being grand it still had a vice like grip on its characters!!!

The ending was Wtf

This second read in Red Rising series is an improvement on Red Rising in every single facet, which I feel is quite a feat considering how much I enjoyed the first book. Pierce Brown has managed to take all the cool things one loves about action packed sci-fi, and combined them with fantastic characters and a compelling story that seems to get deeper each time I look back on it. It is magnificently written and narrated .

Just go read this book if you haven't already.

Compelling Read!

Some of the best narration I've ever listened to. the voice becomes the characters and the story pulled me in such that I felt for each character.

Gripping, hard and raw

Boy oh boy! and to think that I stalled starting it after somewhat average first book. This was one gory damn good book and Tim Gerard Reynolds was epic as always in his narration.

Gory damn
