hilarious, quirky, strangers-to-friends-to-lovers romance

What if crashing weddings for a living leads you straight into the one thing you swore off—falling in love?

This has to be one of the most twisted and entertaining love stories I’ve ever come across (or in this case, listened to)! It’s funny, quirky, and delightfully enjoyable from start to finish.

Happily Never After is my third Lynn Painter book, and honestly, with each one, she’s making it harder not to binge everything she’s written. There’s a certain charm, wit, and wonderfully weird touch she brings to her stories—and I find it absolutely adorable!

Here’s what made this one shine for me: ✔️ Both MCs were so well written—just the right amount of love-sceptic with enough depth to make them instantly likable.
✔️ The twisted storyline! I love it when romance isn’t all sunshine and roses—throw in a little chaos, unexpected turns, and some wild emotional beats, and I’m hooked. This had all that and more, and I had a smile on my face the whole time.
✔️ The plot felt so well structured—nothing felt unnecessary or overdone. Every scene had a purpose and added something to the overall vibe.

I had an absolute blast listening to this audiobook. As always, Lynn Painter brings something fresh and unpredictable to the table—and this book only made me more eager to read the rest of her work.

If you’re into hilarious, quirky, strangers-to-friends-to-lovers romances with two delightfully sceptical leads (and a title that’s pure genius), Happily Never After is calling your name!
