About this listen
Sequel to the number one New York Times best seller. Sarah J. Maas' sexy, groundbreaking Crescent City series continues with this second instalment.
Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar have made a pact. As they process the events of the spring, they will keep things platonic until the solstice. But can they resist when the crackling tension between them is enough to set the whole of Crescent City aflame?
And they are not out of danger yet. Dragged into a rebel movement they want no part of, Bryce, Hunt and their friends find themselves pitted against the terrifying Asteri - whose notice they must avoid at all costs. But as they learn more about the rebel cause, they face a choice: stay silent while others are oppressed or fight. And they've never been very good at staying silent.
In this sexy, action-packed sequel to the number one best seller House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J. Maas weaves a captivating story of a world about to explode - and the people who will do anything to save it.

Good read but lacking storyline
the book was good characters well defined with ample spotlight, but the overall story was bit lacking.

Good book.... but but but....
it's so good but I will feel disappointed when it finishes.... that I want to cry.
oh my God.... I literally just can't handle the torture of Hunt and Ruin....
but I have thought this will conclude the story.... but off course as the story going .... nothing was going in one direction... all the characters were getting so involved that all are becoming main ones who have there own story too.
Just it is going to be hell... to wait for the next book

Thorough world and character building along with good story.
The story takes off immediately and builds swiftly on top of the earlier one. Amazing twists as the end …. Keeps you wanting for more.

EPIC. JUST. EPIC.
EVERYTHING about this book was great! the plot was well paced for the most part, the story and developments were super engaging, love the mystery aspect CC series has generally, the new characters just add to the experience and are all wonderful! absolutely recommend this!
ANND as always, Elizabeth Evans slayed her performance, and absolutely added to the experience to an already awesome book.

Some improvements but more needed
This book was paced a lot better than the first one, but as a result the payoff in the climax was not nearly as good. It also did not give a satisfying conclusion to the story, but left most of it to be resolved in the next book. The development of new characters was appreciated. But the erotic scenes were too frequent and unnecessary for my taste.
