About this listen

An achingly authentic and raw portrait of love, regret, and the life-altering impact of the relationships we hold closest to us, this YA best seller is perfect for fans of Kasie West, All the Bright Places, and Dear Evan Hansen.

If he had been with me, everything would have been different....

Autumn and Finn used to be inseparable. But then something changed. Or they changed. Now, they do their best to ignore each other.

Autumn has her boyfriend, Jamie, and her close-knit group of friends. And Finn has become that boy at school, the one everyone wants to be around.

That still doesn't stop the way Autumn feels every time she and Finn cross paths, and the growing, nagging thought that maybe things could have been different. Maybe they should be together.

But come August, things will change forever. And as time passes, Autumn will be forced to confront how else life might have been different if they had never parted ways....

So beautiful 💖

Whatever you do, pls don't listen to the last 3-4 chapters while sleeping. My eyes are so red from crying and I'm gonna need 2-3 business days to actually recover from this book.
The prose is beautifully written and it felt so realistic. The characters, their friendships and just everything. I can’t-

I don't know what to feel anymore

you know the ending from the beginning but the process of what was to reach the ending you read in the beginning, the "only if I knew how I felt for you like you felt for me, would that have happened?". And you reach the ending, but few more minutes before the book ends, and that's when you will be hoping if there's only more because it felt like an unfinished book. I do not want to relive this pain again but I'll be in my bed laying down everytime I go to sleep, will there be another book? where there is no misunderstandings, just them, just the two of them. I don't know what to feel anymore.

Not worth the hype

The story concept is good, but writing is just mediocre and at times irritating. 'He says', 'I said', 'She said' are used on alternative dialogues if not every dialogue which becomes a huge distraction and takes away from story. Parts of the story were dragged and didn't do anything for the story. As far as the narration of the book is concerned overall the performance was ok, but narrator did really bad when it came to Indian doctor dialogue. It sounded like the Indian character had some sort of speech impediment and thus in turn almost sounded racist. The narrator should have paid attention to Indians living in different parts of the world and not some Hollywood comedy for reference. Overall experience just started declining from that point on.
Final opinion: Listen to this book only if above points can be overlooked, otherwise ignore.

Major problem with voice over for Indian doctor

The story was fine. I guess, it wasn't my cup of tea. felt it too stretched and bland. But I was still listening to it whenever I was doing my chores. But the moment, Gina rogers voiced over for Indian doctor- WTH?! Please try to research extensively before representing any community. I deeply shook as to how ridiculous accent has been given to Indian voice. Do you think Indians have that kind of accent? I'm an Indian and even I wasn't able to understand that bullshit of an accent. As an artist and an art, I understand that you might have the opinion, but when representing on a global scale, please research better. Indians have an accent better than Gina rogers herself so please. I'm not trying to be hater but The accent literally was ABSURD. Amazon audible team- you guys too make sure that such contents shouldn't be aired.
