About this listen
In Newgate Street, in the city of London, stand the meagre ruins of Christ Church. On the same site once stood a royal mausoleum set to rival Westminster Abbey in the 14th century. Among the many crowned heads buried there was Isabella of France, Edward II's queen - one of the most notorious femme fatales in history. But how did she acquire her evil reputation? And is it justified? Alison Weir's engrossing biography sets out to put the record straight.

portrays an incredible personality
I was someone who knew nothing about this queen of England but was interested looking at the blurb and reviews. She is a towering women. About the audio book it captures every minute details about her life and aspects that directly or even indirectly influence her. There is no ambiguity. But as it happens with books that are realistic potrayal, the audio book at some parts seem to stretched boring .I would conclude that it is a good one time listen if u r not into academics or research in this context .
