About this listen

This is the account of a unique journey – a 600-mile trek on foot around Cyprus in the last year of the island's peace. Colin Thubron intertwines myth, history and personal anecdote in a quest from which the characters and places, architecture and landscape all spring vividly to the listener's ear.

Well written and detailed narrative on Cyprus

It's well written as expected from Colin. But was a bit boring at times when he mixes present with the history rather than telling both on its own. Also many names of the places are old and hence difficult to spot on a present day map. An accompanying pdf would've made this easier.
