यह दास्ताने कश्मीर, उस कश्मीर की दास्तान, जो वेदांत, बुद्धिस्म और सूफी परंपराओं का केंद्र रहा है, जहां सभ्यता की मिली-जुली संस्कृति, गंगा-जमुना तहजीब की धाराएं बहती रही हैं, जिन धाराओं को जहरीला बनाने का काम सुहा भट्ट और वर्तमान सरकार एवं उस पाकिस्तान ने किया है जो खुद पाक प्रशासित कश्मीर और गिलगिट, हूंजा, स्कारदू को एक उपनिवेश के रूप में इस्तेमाल करता है,जिसे पूरी तरह से निचोड़ दिया गया है तो वहीं, रिंचन शाह, हर्ष देव,और शेख अब्दुल्ला ने वहां की साझा संस्कृति को बढ़ाया और उसे भारत का एक अभिन्न अंग बनाया। धारा 370 को किस तरह पहले ऐसे बेकार किया गया, जैसे किसी अंडे से उसका सारा तत्व निकाल कर, केवल खोल को ही रहने दिया जाए, और उस व्यक्ति ने इसे भी तोड़ डाला, उस पुल को, जो कश्मीर को भारत को से जोड़ने का काम करता था। वह व्यक्ति, आज भारत का प्रधान मंत्री, जो वाजपेई सरकार में कश्मीर मामलों का प्रभारी था, ने कश्मीर समस्या को सुलझाने के लिए 3D का प्रस्ताव दिया था, 3D याने, डेवलपमेंट, डायलॉग एंड डेमोक्रेसी। लेकिन, चुना चौथा D, डिफेंस।आज भारत की 50% फौज कश्मीर में होने के बावजूद भी वे इसे डिफेंड नहीं कर पा रहे हैं।

Informative, but way too many details
Overall I am happy to have completed a hood informative book.
It covers history of the region since BC centuries.
At some places I felt there are too many minute details which could be reviewed and omitted.
Overall narration is good, but often, some words are improperly broken by pauses, for example, "इस घटना..... से प्रभावित होकर". The pause after घटना is inappropriate.

Content is excellent. Performance ordinary.
One of the most defining books on this subject, something that we have come to expect of Mr. Pandey's writing. Extremely well researched and presented with no bias. His other book on Savarkar is wonderful, too. However, the diction of the narrator leaves a lot to be desired. It sometimes seems like the narrator has encountered some of these words for the first time and may not know the actual underlying meaning of the word or the context in which these words are used. A book of this stature and depth deserves much better treatment and handling.

Hide the Sikh history by writter
A incomplete book and Not justice with Sikh and Sikh history and incorrect information about them and Using uncomfortable word about Maharani Jinda. Otherwise it a good book for knowledge and Kashmir history.

Poor narration
reading was not upto the mark. there were numerous instances of the narrator reading some word other than what was there. plus no annexures. not expected.
