Publisher's Summary
Concealed in the Sanskrit shlokas of the Mahabharata is a secret beyond imagination. This book will shock, surprise, and grip you. You will never think of the Mahabharata the same way again.
Most people believe that the Khandavaprastha forest was burned down to build Indraprastha. But this belief is wrong. According to the Mahabharata, Indraprastha was built before Khandavaprastha forest was destroyed and only seven creatures survived the massacre and conflagration.
So, what is the truth about the burning of the Khandavaprastha forest by Agni, aided by Lord Krishna and Arjuna?
What really happened in Khandavaprastha thousands of years ago?
Can history and science provide an explanation?
Find out in The Khandavaprastha Conspiracy, Book 3 of The Mahabharata Quest series, where science meets the Mahabharata in an explosive mix of action, adventure, suspense and mystery.
3340 BCE: A deadly scourge ravages a village in China, forcing a handful of survivors to abandon their homes.
1800 CE: A wounded monkey, rescued from the Amazon Forest, miraculously grows back the missing part of a leg ... and then rips itself apart.
PRESENT DAY: A devastating and terrifying disease is spreading fast across the globe, leaving scientists helpless and baffled. The human immune system cannot detect this pathogen ... nor can any test thus far known to science. Vijay and the Global Task Force, headed by Director Patterson, find trail of clues that leads them to a mystery buried deep in the Mahabharata and a chilling conspiracy with catastrophic consequences.
As the fate of the world hangs in the balance, they must race against time to solve a mystifying riddle and unravel the deadly enigma that threatens to annihilate the human race.
But is it too late to save humanity from extinction?
Christopher C. Doyle is back! His electrifying new thriller combines cutting-edge scientific research with history and a secret from the Mahabharata to create a thriller that you will not want to stop listening to.

Another stretched rubber band
The plot is too stretched, author just trying to fill pages. Narration is too stereotyped, Male voice, female voice, indian voice, british voice, chinese voice, ireland voice. No conveying the emotions other than stereotyped accents.

Wonderful mix of science and mythological fiction
Loved the book. Not so much the narration... felt the previous narrator for the books was more suited, but then again it may just be my resistance to change.
Loved the painstaking research that the author has conducted for the book and the characters that he has created over the last 4 books. Looks like most if not all ends are tied up but I am looking forward to a sequel as a I truly feel these books are a notch higher in quality and story than the Patala Series.

Great book ruined by narrator
I really wish that the narrator had spent some time researching the characters he was planning to voice act. The imitation of the Indian accent is particularly annoying.
The story line is strong, well researched and well presented.

Informative Book..... but Ruined by the narrator.
It's a great book with a lot of expectation I was listening to the 4th book. The story like is good. The narrative is very bad....
Note to the narrator : Dear sir, when you are taking up a trilogy it would be great if you can listen to the old narrative and see how the characters are set by your predecessors. The Indian accent of Vijay and Shukhla is very bad and irritating.....also villan voice was pathetic.
Note to the Producers:
Dears team,
When the First three parts is beautiful done by Swetanshu Bora.... Why did you have to change the narrator? Thanks to you all, I am going to read this book again....
Anyways
Thanks for the efforts.

Engaging and adventurous
A tightly written adventure with lot of science embedded. I loved the way the narration takes place and how the story unfolds. There are certain places and character introductions where it is left to reader’s comprehension which some might feel like a gap in narration but I liked it personally as it tests the intelligence of the reader.

pl change the narrator
the story is good. my first time reading an Indian author without any stilted dialogues.
the narrator:
the narrator made Vijay sound like he came from a 1980s/90s BBC version of how an Indian speaking English shud sound. no relevance at all to the fact that Vijay had studied in the US and interacts regularly with Americans, removing any Indian vernacular accent possessed.

Well researched, biomedical thriller
Story woven well, thrill incorporated, but has been a predictive style from the previous such fictions from the author.
