Not an autobiography, more like a management text book.

Except the first couple of chapters, the whole book is his thoughts about business management. Most elements are relevant even after 100 years, but they've been copied and re-presented in more interesting detail in various ways by now. If you're looking for an fascinating autobiography, this book is a disappointment.

Ford has perspective which is still useful

He talks about various things of his time, manufacturing & assembly line modifications to its applications to charitable acts. I am not sure how far those experiments were successful but they are quite interesting. Also, his views on politics, misuse of power and burden of social fragmentation in society only tells that these are part of every generation and one must learn to grow in their presence.

Awesome Book!

This is a must read/listen for all those Business Persons and industry Captains to understand the true ideals of Business.

Ford's ideas and insights about business, capital, money, engineering, manufacturing processes, time & motion study, labour, society at large etc. leads towards 'Compassionate Capitalism' that was advocated by Rich Devos (Co-Founder of Amway).
