Wonderful!!!
The whole cast is fantastic. You get a feeling of getting immersed in a world, both similar and dissimilar to ours, only through the voice and not the vision. And I find it amazing to be honest. The writing is apt and every member of the cast do justice to it too. Bravo!

Enjoyable dramatisation
Really loved this dramatised version by audible. Nice little story by the exceptional Neil Gaiman and what a cast they have used. Mind blown by the performances. I am looking forward to more of Gaiman's work dramatised and other. In awe of his writing really.
4.5 stars for the audible experience.

The narration, the cast, the story. Just mind-blowing.
A definite listen for anyone who enjoys radio. The way the ambient sounds, the story has been narrated is just unfathomable.

Neverwhere is a masterpiece.
The story, the cast ... James McAvoy, Bernard Gribbins, Benedict Cumberbatch, Natalie Dormer, with Neil Gaiman and Dirk Maggs binding it all together to create a spellbinding experience. A must listen and a must have!

Amazing
Let me preface this by saying that recent events have definitely left a bad taste for Neil Gaiman fans, and I don't believe in separating the art from the artist.
What I do believe in, is saying that yeah their work is good, without adding to the fandom or using it as a "but" for their horrible actions.
Do I think Neverwhere is good? Yes.
Do I want to dive into more of his work like I did earlier? Not really.
Also, I enjoyed this audiobook a whole lot more thanks to the amazing cast! James McAvoy does it like no one else, and Natalie Dormer? Perhaps my favorite voice? Same goes for Benedict Cumberbatch, come out of the Sherlock fandom ( there are MUCH better depictions than his around) and watch(or hear lol) him do his magic.
On to the story. We start with the world as we know it, and transition into London Below - a world in sewers and tube stations. The world is depicted beautifully without excessive description or backstories, you're very much in the present- the plot is fast paced- urgency all around with moments of slowness once in a while. It feels a lot like a fever dream, like the events couldn't possibly be happening in real life.
It reminded me vaguely of a story I had read in school, about Quinn of mandria ( Google says it's called princess Nevermore(there's a similar concept of an underground kingdom and upper earth, I don't remember much else).(please note- I'm not recommending this book - if memory serves right, it's appropriate for middle school at best)What I've learnt from listening to this and The sandman is, James McAvoy as a narrator is unmatched.
I love full cast productions like these, while a single narrator can also do a great job, that sounds more like a bedtime story, while the radio drama vibe simply hits different.
