Critic Reviews

'Tremendous, thought-provoking and so very well reasoned. Harari gives us a vision of a rapidly approaching future that is at one and the same time thrilling and chilling. If there is one book that I would urge everyone to read – our political, corporate and cultural leaders most especially – it is Nexus' (STEPHEN FRY)

'Harari has a unique ability to unite both history’s finest details and its grandest megatrends in a single view. This deeply important book comes at a critical time as we all think through the implications of AI' (MUSTAFA SULEYMAN)

'Harari is one of the most remarkable intellects of our generation – bold, original, erudite, provocative and entrancing. His latest book reimagines everything from literacy to AI and – like all his books – fundamentally shifts one’s view of the world' (Rory Stewart)

Standout narration

The author touches upon contemporary topics related to geopolitics and technology. A lot of effort seems to have been made into the research.

This is clearly a story told from the perspective of someone oriented to the western ideologies. But that does not mean the author missed on covering minority cultures and religion.

It was bold to call out politicians and parties by their name. But a shift to the right is currently/ clearly underway-whether this was AI’s doing or an unavoidable part of the storyline is difficult to fathom. Rather than reason out why it is happening, the book seems to dwell more on the fear factor.

I find it impudent to generalize and say that, certain political affiliations would always sway towards wickedness. I hope next gen leaders who are clever enough to adapt technological advances to sway the political spectrum, are equally smart enough to comprehend when to stop bending the bough too much before we hit a point of no return.

Must listen/read

If you are interested in finding out what AI from the past has used our data to do, you will be shocked.

if you are interested in finding out what the capabilities of AI is going to be in the future, you will be confused and scared.

it is better to be prepared for what is coming!

Good articulation of dangers of AI

I love all his books. This one is also nicely done. It starts with the history of information and how the future with AI and computer networks can cause dissemination of information much faster.

Very important book of our times

Typical Yuval Noah Harari book. Very well researched. Logically laid out thoughts. Strong linkages established among historical events and current times. Exposes us to the dangers of AI that we considered way out in the future. It’s a very important book that should be read/heard by everyone.
