About this listen
'Sometimes all you want is the novel equivalent of Gilmore Girls . . . Just add a spiced latte' – Stylist
When the leaves fall, magic rises . . .
With found family, a dash of romance and an uplifting message about self-love, Rewitched is a cosy autumnal fantasy that will leave readers spellbound.
Belladonna Blackthorn hasn’t lost her magical spark, but she hasn’t seen it in a while either. Balancing work at her beloved London bookshop, Lunar Books, with handling her toxic boss and concealing her witchcraft from those around her – Belle is burnt out. Perfecting the potential of her magic is the last thing on her mind.
But, when her thirtieth birthday brings a summons from her coven and a trial that tests her worthiness as a witch, Belle risks losing her magic for ever. With the month of October to fix things and signs that dark forces may be working against her, Belle will need all the help she can get – from the women in her life, from an unlikely mentor figure and even from an (infuriating) coven watchman who’s sworn to protect her . . .
Can Belle reignite her spark before it's too late?

Spellbinding
Overall, Rewitched was spellbindingly cosy, eloquently written and completely charming. I related to Belle on so many levels, and I think a lot of readers who will dive into Rewitched will, too. Everyone has, at some point, felt as though they’ve lost their way or lost a part of themselves they wish they could get back to, and Lucy weaves magic into it with such a way that it is both endearing and entertaining, quaint and resonant. The romance was definitely slow-burn and took a very back-seat to the contemporary feel of the book, which is unlike what I usually look for in a book, but found extremely fitting for Rewitched’s impact. The found family and friendship/familial relationships in it are unmatched, entirely heartwarming. I adored how idyllic London felt through the eyes of the novel, dressed in autumn, with a vein of true love for literature woven through the very heart of it.
