About this listen
How did the replication bomb we call "life" begin, and where in the world, or rather, in the universe, is it heading? Writing with characteristic wit and an ability to clarify complex phenomena (the New York Times described his style as "[T]he sort of science writing that makes the reader feel like a genius"), Richard Dawkins confronts this ancient mystery.

Clarifies how genes work for laymen!
A very well read audiobook which covers a lot about how genes function and how propagating DNA is at the heart of the survival of any species! Various examples have been given to explain each separate part of the process, which make it as easy for readers without much background in the sciences to understand!
What I feel would have added to a more nuanced vision is the inclusion of society and civilization and how it impacts the propagation of genes in humans! Overall it's a very revealing read and I highly recommend this book, especially after The Selfish Gene!

River out of Eden
It’s written by my hero, like a hero. Richard Dawkins, makes the most complex subject of evolution, flow like a river.
