About this listen

An examination of the importance of self-knowledge, providing practical exercises to aid self-discovery.

In Ancient Greece, when the philosopher Socrates was asked to sum up what all philosophical commandments could be reduced to, he replied: "Know yourself". Self-knowledge matters so much because it is only on the basis of an accurate sense of who we are that we can make reliable decisions - particularly around love and work.

This book takes us on a journey into our deepest, most elusive selves and arms us with a set of tools to understand our characters properly. We come away with a newly clarified sense of who we are, what we need to watch out for when making decisions, and what our priorities and potential might be.

Well balanced book on Self-Knowledge

This is a very honest guide to knowing ourselves, clearly acknowledging that not everything about us can or should be known. With intelligently crafted questions, it helps us think deeply, reflect and explore those recesses of our mind that we have not ventured into so far. I found the accompanying PDF very useful and I also think a good audio guide is best accompanied by such a printable document.
without getting religious , mystical or superstitious the book gets us started on the journey to self-discovery and self love.

Great food for thought

The chapters around childhood’s impact on our adult lives and the walnut brains’ inherent fallacies are just brilliant. This is one is to be heard and re heard again and again!

Read if you’re human

it is a book that demands to be heard by any and every one of us. the least we have is the knowledge about ourse and this can act as the introductory chapter.
