About this listen

From the acclaimed author of Sherlock Holmes and The Christmas Demon comes another beautifully presented seasonal mystery.

The year 1889. The First Terror.

At a boys’ prep school in the Kent marshes, a pupil is found drowned in a pond. Could this be the fulfilment of a witch’s curse from 400 years earlier?

The year 1890. The Second Terror.

A wealthy man dies of a heart attack at his London townhouse. Was he really frightened to death by ghosts?

The year 1894. The Third Terror.

A body is discovered at a Surrey country manor, hideously ravaged. Is the culprit a cannibal, as the evidence suggests?

These three linked crimes test Sherlock Holmes’ deductive powers, and his skepticism about the supernatural, to the limit.

Beautiful Narration coupled with a Satisfyingly Original Sherlock Holmes

The story is engaging, the literature and choice of words by the author is particularly remarkable.
The turns in the story feel genuinely in sync with the plot and feel as original as the ones by Sir Arthur.
Narration is the most beautiful part that makes the story all the more interesting and engaging. It is unpredictable too, just as you expect a crime fiction to be.

In Conclusion, Perhaps totally worth the time for Sherlock Holmes readers.

An outstanding book

The book by far is quite elaborate, well written and resembles closely the work of AC Doyle. The story is very interesting and the ending is by far quite good. Surprising twists in multiple parts in the story keeps you engaged till the very end. Very good book.

GOOD

A bit clumsy. Also Watson is not as stupid as indicated in this book.

Perfect Sherlock revival

This book is a perfect Sherlock revival. The writing, the storyline, the suspence, the characterization and the amount of twists and revelations were all a perfectly close match to Sir AC Doyle. He would be proud.

Predictable but enjoyable all the same.

The story is good. It holds your interest. Would have been far better reading it though. The narrator assumes a very whiny sort of voice to narrate Holmes' parts that is downright off putting to say the least.
