About this listen

"Sivagamiyin Sabadham' is a historical Tamil novel set in 7th century South India. The struggle for supremacy between the Chalukya Emperor, Pulikesi II, and the Pallava Emperor, Mahendra Varmar and at a later stage, his son, Narasimha Varmar, forms the core of the novel.

Amazing

The narration was excellent and voice modulation where required is on point. Thank you Deepika. Author has done a great job of taking us to an era where the duties come before love also how one can get lost in greed lust and vengeance. Great work thank you team for giving us this piece of work !!

All time classic from Kalki

One of the best narrations. Simple and clear pronunciation of words with ample modulation without any overdramatic background music.

Outstanding Rendering

Deepika reads out one of Kalki’s best stories wonderfully well. Thanks and I hope you can present more such classics.

Good story and narration - Did not disappoint

Starts slow buts gets more and more gripping as the story develops. The narration was solid and felt seamless. The character arcs and the emotional depth explored by Kalki for the main characters gave the story so much gravitas. Much better than Parthiban Kanavu which was underwhelming in this day and age.

The book could’ve been an hour shorter if a detour wasn’t taken 2/3rds into the book which felt unnecessary from the plot but my guess is that it was done to add a short episode of another historical figure which the author wanted the readers to know about.
