About this listen

Psychologist Margot Scott has a picture-perfect life: a nice house in the suburbs, a husband, two children and a successful career.

On a warm spring morning Margot approaches one of her clients on a busy train platform. He is looking down at his phone, with his duffel bag in hand as the train approaches. That’s when she slams into his back and he falls in front of the train.

Margot’s clients all lie to her, but one lie cost her family and freedom.

A fast-paced psychological thriller for fans of The Silent Patient.

good book and very good narrator

I just loved narrator, I mostly don't like audio books bcz I can't feel feelings through their robotic or over dramatic voices but this one was just on the spot and I felt like I am reading

Brilliant story and more so brilliant narration

If this would've been a movie or actual reading I might be able to predict the ending buf Aimee Horne narrated perfectly. True thriller, I would love a sequel a twist of the ending.

Super plot and well read

This is my first book by this author (not sure if there are more books written) and I was pleased with the storyline. It jumps back and forth inobstrusively and the end had a surprising twist.

Great Great Story! Don't read my review!

Don't read my review unless you've completed the story. Spoiler ahead!

The story is awesome, gripping and I was hooked towards the last. Particularly the very last 30-45 seconds. That was a total plot twist. I had a scent that the doctors father was actually asking the questions to her (whenever she recollects from her past) that she was a potential case herself.

This to me is in the lines of "Silence of the lambs"

Add to that the voice acting from the narrator. Great Work!

This is the kind of art Audible should pursue. 👋👋🤝
