About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

One green notebook. Six strangers. The chance to start being honest....

Six strangers with one universal thing in common: their lives aren’t always what they make them out to be.

But what would happen if they told the truth instead?

Julian begins The Authenticity Project - a small green notebook containing his ‘truth’ - to pass on and encourage others to share their own.

Little does he know that this small act of honesty will impact all those who come into contact with the book and lead to a life-changing world of friendship and forgiveness....

Great narration with a very interesting storyline

The book and the narration both were written and executed pretty well. I did not get bored at any point during the hearing.

Kinda meh

I felt like I was supposed to like the most unlikable character in the book. I'm all for flawed characters, but the character of Monica could just be described as a weak, dithering judgemental person, and not a strong feminist. It would have allowed me to like her (and the book) better. The premise was interesting enough and the narration superb.

Not at all authentic.

I enjoyed the narration far more than the story itself. Neither the characters not their storylines quite drew me in.

The whole premise of the characters being so starkly black or white, with no layers was difficult to digest.
