About this listen
Learn to make every moment a once-in-a-lifetime experience with this definitive guide to the Japanese art of ichigo ichie, from the best-selling authors of Ikigai.
Every moment in our life happens only once, and if we let it slip away, we lose it forever - an idea captured by the Japanese phrase ichigo ichie. Often spoken in Japan when greeting someone or saying goodbye, to convey that the encounter is unique and special, it is a tenet of Zen Buddhism and is attributed to a 16th-century master of the Japanese tea ceremony, or 'ceremony of attention', whose intricate rituals compel us to focus on the present moment.
The Book of Ichigo-Ichie: The Art of Making the Most of Every Moment, the Japanese Way is an inspirational work which shows us how to:
- Free ourselves from the past and the future and to make each moment something unique.
- Bring into our lives the Zen that Steve Jobs learned from a Japanese master, and which was key to his success.
- Turn coincidences into a tool for conscious magic.
- Create unforgettable moments in professional and personal circles.
- Improve our relationships with a new type of mindfulness.
- Open the floodgates to the flow of creativity whenever we need it.
The Book of Ichigo Ichie will help you find your ikigai.

Similar lines of Ikigai
If you have read Ikigai, you might find it on similar lines too. Though it is interesting and keep you engrossed, but nothing new feels after reading it.

Enjoyed thoroughly
This is second book of the authors that I completed reading/listening. The new book on Ichigo Ichie discussed about Japanese way of living in the moment, but it can be followed by anyone. It is simple to follow and learn if anyone wishes to live in the moment. The book divided into three parts and have given many real life examples, reference of books and movies to encourage the practice of living in the now. The narrator also done a great job. I loved the way he read the book. Also I like to thank the translator for keeping it simple and lucid. Well written, fantastic narration, great translation, what else is needed to recommend a book. I would like to thanks the audible and whole team for bringing such nice books.

Every one should have a physical copy of this book
Crisply compiled, very engrossed. Defining and emphasizing importance of leaving in presence. It will be worth to keep additional physical copy of this book as it will require multiple revisions to follow the practical tips suggested by the authors.
