Critic Reviews
"Since he received an Audie nomination for Volume I and an Audie Award for Volume II, it’s not surprising that Charlton Griffin gives another extraordinary performance in this volume of Sherlock Holmes works. In addition to impeccable interpretations of familiar characters - Holmes, Watson, Mycroft, and Lestrade - Griffin creates remarkably believable women. Griffin’s narration is fresh, flawless, and completely winning." (AudioFile magazine)

I would prefer Stephen fry version
Narration is monotonous. If you have already purchased, don't miss. Sherlock Holmes stories are awesome. you might love it if you haven't heard Stephen fry version.

Loved it
Had a great audible experience. Instead of reading listening to it was a wonderful experience and I could visualise the story. Well narrated.

his narration sucks!!
what kind of stupid slang was that,I simply couldn't stand this even for a minute,he failed miserably to blend in to the calm nostalgic 19th century environment!!

Narrator is a bit annoying
Which is a matter of preference, But they also haven't refined the audio by removing the breathing sound in between the sentences which gets annoying real fast. The narrator also has a weird quality where he makes sounds with his tongue in order to fascilitate his take on british accent. I'd recommend the one narrated by Stephan Fry, much more organic and natural, easy on the ears, post processed as well.
