About this listen

Wanda Petronski is different from all the other girls in Room 13. Every day she wears the same faded blue dress to school, and every day she tells about her hundred dresses at home. Her classmates joke about her imaginary clothes - until they learn the wonderful secret of the dresses.©1972 Eleanor Estes and Louis Slobodkin (P)2004 Recorded Books Classics Difficult Discussions Growing Up & Facts of Life Literature & Fiction Social & Life Skills

It's beautifully written book which describes what most of the middle graders go through. It talks about what it means to be standing up for what's right. It's a nice tale of kindness and acceptance. Often young kids struggle when dealing with moments of peer pressure and that's what this book is all about.
