About this listen
Prince Lyov Nikolayevitch Myshkin is one of the great characters in Russian literature. Is he a saint or just naïve? Is he an idealist or, as many in General Epanchin's society feel, an "idiot"? Certainly his return to St. Petersburg after years in a Swiss clinic has a dramatic effect on the beautiful Aglaia, youngest of the Epanchin daughters, and on the charismatic but willful Nastasya Filippovna. As he paints a vivid picture of Russian society, Dostoyevsky shows how principles conflict with emotions - with tragic results.

Something everyone must read.
The performance is amazing and story is brilliant. Dostoyevsky's characters do come to life.

Well begun
It is a classic and well read. The pace of the novel was always very fast, the twists and turns gripping and unexpected. The end was morbid however

A great story made better by a skillful narrator
It's lengthy but a brilliant study of the human condition, with skillful and talented narration.

Facsinating story let down by recording
this is a wonderful story. i have read it, tried this audiobook, i was trying out other constantine gregory titles too. only issue i found was the recording. Constantine Gregory's narration is fantastic, that is why i tried out many titles. but the recording is a big let down. there is audible distortion and sibilance in the recoring. which is very irritating . have to return it
