Welcome my friends!
Welcome...to “The Land"!
The battle of the dead was won, but at a great cost. Sion, leader of the Mist Village, was left with only pain and regret as Richter was claimed by the abyss.
What no one but the abandoned chaos seed knows is that he narrowly avoided the curse of the lich Singh, a curse that still hangs above his head. Now, surrounded by miles of darkness and tons of crushing rock, Richter has to find his way back into the light.
The only problem is that this monster of a man is being pursued by monsters, a demon, and his own foolish choices. Faced with all the dangers of the deep dark, what will Richter say when the buried horrors of The Land come a calling and asked if he's paid his dues?
Well he'll look right back, stare that horror in the eye, and say, "Yes sir, the check is in the mail!"
Welcome back my friends! Welcome back...to The Land!

Felt I was standing still
Character was digressing a lot in my opinion. Did not feel the tension as everything took place in the underground only. No side stories about the Midst village (best time to introduce a second "controllable/payable" character

slow start but ended strong. got me hooked.
struggled to get through the first few chapters. you can't have too many chapters talking about stats and increases one after the other. but once it was done, the book was awesome. Perfect blend of action, comedy, Innovation. Very well narrated by nick! love, peace and the perfect Margherita!

Having a hard time with this book.
I have been a fan of Aleron kong and The Land series for three years now and was eagerly awaiting this book as the last one left us on a cliffhanger. Now, I am more than halfway done and literally getting frustrated with this book. This book is full of level-ups and ramblings. Let me give you an example at the beginning of Chapter 26 the MC is making a golem. The narration rambled gave exasperating amounts of explanation and now on Chapter 28 he just finished and the rambling started all over again of how if he had failed...blah...blah. That is more than half an hour of my life I am never getting back.
Moreover, I am still waiting for something significant to happen.
