About this listen
In The Next 100 Years, Friedman turns his eye on the future. Drawing on a profound understanding of history and geopolitical patterns dating back to the Roman Empire, he shows that we are now, for the first time in half a millennium, experiencing the dawn of a new historical cycle.

Gripping tale of Future of World Geopolitics
Overall a great book which has tried to address all the geopolitical issues as existing today. However,
there are many issues which needs deliberation. These are :-
- Unprecedented rise of China in last two decades and its related upgradation in Chinese Naval Power.
- Imp of Indo- Pacific or Asia Pacific region for providing reqd pivot for US policies in Asia against China or Russia.
- Though the author has already brought out is Climate Change.
- Rise of India as a regional power and its demonstrated space capability to achieve new heights.
Great effort by the author to pen down beautifully the next 100 years of the world.

USA centric future focus
Based on the title I was looking for novel views in trends in various dimensions across the world. However the focus was on US geo-politics based on the assumptions that the world will continue to be dominated by US with countries such as Mexico, Turkey, Etc playing major roles. Book is written in 2009 and being read in 2020 so expecting more on China Russia India etc. Based on current trends. I would have rated higher overall if book title was aligned with the focus on USA.

insightful and astonishing in many ways
once and for moat of the times i felt that the book is written from an American keeping America as the epicentre of the world & space but that were also backed up by facts and data , this will surely give a deep insight into how the future will taste like…

Would not recommend
This book seemed irrelevant and inaccurate in its predictions and even its assertion and proofs did not make sense to me and seemed out of touch from prevailing reality.

The book is a figment of the writer’s imagination
Never read a more dull, stupid and droning book full of outlandish claims. For the author, the sun rises, stays and sets in the USA as rest of the world shines from the light that the US reflects.
The book is not a prediction or forecast. It’s a wish list. A boring one at that. To be avoided at all costs.
