About this listen
"Mrs. Cass, we were hoping your son could answer a few questions about the girl who disappeared last night...."
Erika Cass has a perfect family and a perfect life. Until the evening when two detectives show up at her front door.
A high school girl has vanished from Erika's quiet suburban neighborhood. The police suspect the worst - murder. And Erika's teenage son, Liam, was the last person to see the girl alive.
Erika has always sensed something dark and disturbed in her seemingly perfect older child. She wants to believe he's innocent, but as the evidence mounts, she can't deny the truth - Liam may have done the unthinkable.
Now she must ask herself: How far will she go to protect her son?

One time, read not so much a winner .
I started this book based on the reviews. However, the reviews do not justify the storyline.
narration gets full points, and the thrill of being a psychological thriller is provocative, but honestly, I found it average. The end is suggestive and open-ended .
overall a one-time Read.

Great story meets flawless narration!
The plot twist was a shocking revelation! Great story accompanied by great writing and the narration by the cat is just icing on the cake.

Insane plot twist
I really loved this book...The book dives deep into how far a parent will go to protect their child while serving up plot twists that hit hard. It’s fast-paced with some moments that drag, but the shocking ending makes it a solid read if you’re into dark, unpredictable stories that leave you reeling.

one time read
the whole time you feel that the story is very predictable and then at the end we have a good twist. But the terrible part is story doesn't end there we are left hanging with the thought that yes it is predictable and we wasted our time listening to this book.

Predictable Lacks a strong Story plot
As the story progresses, it becomes increasingly predictable. The twists, especially leading up to the climax, lack the shock value that you’d expect from a thriller. By the time you reach the ending, it feels like something you’ve seen coming from a mile away, which takes away from the suspense the book tries to build.
