About this listen

How did the trailblazers of Indian business turn their dreams into reality? The Pilani Pioneers profiles twenty-five accomplished BITS Pilani graduates, including startup founders, entrepreneurs and CEOs, who have made an indelible mark on the Indian and global business landscape while deftly navigating the twists and turns of their professional and personal lives.

It introduces us to mavericks such as Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge; Hari Menon, Co-founder and CEO of BigBasket; Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian at Tata Sons; Sunil Duggal, Dabur's longest-serving CEO; Tulsi Mirchandaney, MD of Blue Dart Aviation; Nandini Chopra, MD at Alvarez & Marsal; Phanindra Sama, Co-founder of redBus; among others, whose stories of passion and perseverance reveal what it takes to not only achieve success in the competitive arena of business but also make a positive difference in both industry and the world at large.

Inspiring, with a touch of nostalgia, this book is an essential listen for anyone looking to find their niche and build a meaningful professional life.

my first listen has been a wonderful listen

now we know why BITS stands apart. The author has given concise but amazing journeys of these pioneers. The voice was a bit monotonous and I dozed off many a time therefore the 4 star rating. User should have a choice of male female child voices etc. Content deserves 6 stars.

Disappointing

I had hoped this would be an inspiring book about successful Indian Entrepreneurs, but instead it turned out to be a rather dull recounting about privileged Indians and their rather aloof and entitled opinions. The entire story is trying to convince the listener that somehow the BITS education was meaningful for its time, as sort of a club of the successful. Instead the graduates talk little about the value of the education and prefer to expound on how it is to live a blessed life far removed from the struggles of the common man.
