About this listen
Goodreads Best Fantasy YA 2020.
The intoxicating and bloodthirsty finale to the New York Times best-selling The Cruel Prince, nominated for the Cilip Carnegie Medal 2019, and New York Times best seller The Wicked King.
After being pronounced Queen of Faerie and then abruptly exiled by the Wicked King Cardan, Jude finds herself unmoored, the queen of nothing. She spends her time with Vivi and Oak, watching reality television, and doing odd jobs, including squaring up to a cannibalistic faerie.
When her twin sister, Taryn, shows up asking a favour, Jude jumps at the chance to return to the Faerie world, even if it means facing Cardan, whom she loves despite his betrayal. When a dark curse is unveiled, Jude must become the first mortal Queen of Faerie and break the curse or risk upsetting the balance of the whole Faerie world.

It’s rly good!
It’s a rlyyy good book the only thing I disliked was the fast that Jude was like invisible and portrayed as a tough person so there wasn’t too much character like emotions I could feel but other than that it was a really good book

A great conclusion
A satisfying conclusion to an incredibly entertaining series. I don't think I've liked any protagonist in the YA fantasy genre as much as I like Jude. The last leg of the book took a careening turn towards the bizarre but Holly Black has always been good at justifying her absurd plot twists.
I highly recommend the audiobook for this one! Also, please tell me where I can get a soft boi like Cardan. Asking for a friend.

amazing series, through and through!
"I knew little else. But I always knew you."
I have never read a series that's been this consistent in excitement, boldness, and temperament from cover to cover, across the books.
Book one is about power, book two is about holding on to power, and the third and final book of the series is about being undone by love. I relished the beautiful conclusion of the rather dolefully stated prophecy, the boons, the sentences, and as always the Elfame king.

Outstanding
This last book in the series had me hooked to it!! Perfectly paced, full of action and little romance. Just go for this series of three books. Although I struggled a bit in the first one the final two books were superb!! Worth the hype!!

A dark and lovely fantasy
This book brings the perfect climax to the amazing Folk of the Air series. A perfect concoction of hate, love, murder, twists, lies, truths, betrayal and trust; this book is perfect for all fiction fans. Beautiful narration by Caitlin Kelly, and a mind-blowing killer plot by Holly Black.
The twists are perfect and the protagonist, Jude Duarte, is very lovable and can be related with. All the characters are very nicely portrayed and the word-building is excellent.
