About this listen

Scorio thought victory was within his grasp.

He had bested the Final Gauntlet and overcome the treachery of Chancellor Praximar. But the Rascor Plains are full of peril, and his quest for truth has only just begun.

With his friends scattered and his reputation in tatters, Scorio must navigate a web of intrigue that stretches from the powerful House Hydra and the Fiery Shoals to the mysterious forces that govern the Plains. He will face foes, both human and inhuman, and confront the darkest secrets of his world.

Beware the fiends, for they hunger for your soul. Beware your allies, for they may break your heart. And beware Scorio, for he will stop at nothing to uncover the truth.

strong characters but sacrifices the world buildin

characters are deep enough to seem breathing
but author sacrifices the world building aspects to emphasize the character and their emotions which is great but I don't understand dogsh*t what is beyond rascor plains😅.(on a side note iron tyrant guy seems great too) author needs to refine his political storytelling and weave the politics into interactions between main character this has huge potential into making the main from pea 🫛 brain to master mind. I mean this is hell we are talking about if this progression fantasy at least make him learn politics of hell which is a subtle way of world building from ground up . make him a nobody to punch hard to
somebody who can think before punching and punches smart progressively making him into a demigod master mind who does not punches without a deep plan ( I mean the guy has some work to do but my guy could become aizen )
Note to author : I know many authors hate listening from someone telling them how to write a story but above written things are suggestions for story moving forward and not concrete disapproval of the story.

Finally a good story!

I was worried that the second book will get boring like a lot of other series. However, the author and narrator did an amazing job with this book too. For anyone looking to start a new series, this one is a work of art.
