About this listen
Rand eloquently asserts that one cannot create art without infusing it with one's own value judgments and personal philosophy - even an attempt to withhold moral overtones only results in a deterministic or naturalistic message. Because the moral influence of art is inescapable, she argues, art should always strive to elevate the human spirit.
The Romantic Manifesto takes its place beside The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged as one of the most important achievements of our time.

Brilliant audio rendition of a vital book
Thanks to this audio version I was finally able to complete this book, which I purchased in paperback ten years ago, and never got time to read. My previously vague understanding of art is transformed to crystal clarity. The narrator does full justice to the text, and her tone conveys Ayn Rand's feelings perfectly (such as her contempt for Naturalism - so much so that I felt as though I were listening to Ayn Rand herself (minus the accent). This book truly deserves the adjective awesome, but because that word is now used loosely for anything and everything, I call it brilliant!
