Swami Mukundananda
About this listen
The quality of our mind determines the quality of the life we lead. It can be our greatest ally or our worst adversary. A mind that runs amok could steal our inner peace and undermine every productive endeavour. Yet, with proper knowledge, training and discipline, it is possible to unleash the mind’s infinite potential.
In The Science of Mind Management, Swami Mukundananda charts the four different aspects of the human mind and lays down a clear path towards mastering it. Through witty anecdotes, real-life accounts and stories from the Vedic scriptures, he gently guides listeners on the road to winning their inner battle.

Story
Incredibly, the ingredients of a hugely successful life cost nothing at all. In fact, we mass-produce 60,000 of them every day. These are the thoughts that our mind creates. They are responsible for the happiness and distress we experience. They are the precursors of all we do. We grapple with improving our actions, only to find our attempts undone by impure thinking. If we focus on transforming our thoughts instead, incredible results will accrue from a fraction of the efforts.

AIMS (Atma, Intellect, Mind, Senses)
We often worry, get irritated and lost. This implies that we are being controlled by our senses. Intellect will decide what is good and what is bad, and based on that Mind controls our senses. To make intellect take right decisions we have to take the help of Atma to seek knowledge. Although when intellect takes right decision Mind doesn’t listens to the intellect, this where we need to develop will-power. Through proper will power we can detach our Mind from where it got wandered and bring it back to the right thing which intellect suggested.
We get to know the mechanics of mind. Then it will be little easy to mange Mind. In my opinion, I feel that before even studying Bhagavadgita or Bhagavatam one has to read or listen to this book. It prepares our Mind to not wander while going through the Celestial song of God - Bhagavadgita or Bhagavatam.
