About this listen

Do you want to listen to The Time Machine? If so then keep reading....

H.G. Wells, a pioneer in the science fiction genre, produced awesomely imaginative novels whose technologies seem impossibly sophisticated for a writer living in an era before automobiles and the widespread application of electricity. In his work The Time Machine, Wells’ Time Traveller, a gentleman inventor living in England, traverses first thousands of years and then millions into the future, before bringing back the knowledge of the grave degeneration of the human race and the planet.

One wonders if Wells could truly see into the future, as over 100 years after its publication date his visions seem timelier than ever.

Not the future one would imagine!

For anyone who is going to listen to this audiobook keep in mind that this was written at a time when the idea of science fiction was fiction.

Author overall keeps you on your toes till the end and gives a different perspective of how the future might be. Simple and crisp but elucidates lots of thoughts within you. However you might feel something is missing particularly about the club and it's participants and their response to story of journey through time. Again still great for a book of that era!

Audio is not very good. Narration overall is average or just below average. It isn't as engaging as one would want for a story like this
