Brilliant!

Gad-flies, which we desperately need to save us from ourselves, oddly enough, are the ones needed to be saved by us from ourselves.

Last words of Socrates, according to Plato, "Crito, we owe a cock to Asclepius. Please, don't forget to pay the debt.
