About this listen

Blending the tactics he learned from America's elite force with lessons from the Spartans, samurai, Apache scouts, and other great warrior traditions, Mark Divine has distilled the fundamentals of success into eight powerful principles that will transform you into the leader you always knew you could be. Learn to think like a SEAL and take charge of your destiny at work, at home, and at life.

Want to be tough? Cool under fire? Able to sense danger before it's too late? In The Way of the SEAL: Updated and Expanded Edition, retired Navy SEAL Commander Mark Divine reveals exercises, meditations, and focusing techniques to train your mind for mental toughness, emotional resilience, and uncanny intuition. Along the way, you'll reaffirm your ultimate purpose, define your most important goals, and take concrete steps to make them happen.

In this updated and expanded edition, timely new chapters apply the principles to leading in an ever-accelerating world and leading in teams. Plus, new key takeaways distill the principles in the book into easier-to-use chunks.

Excellent and one of the best book on self improvement. Really inspiring to understand the hardships these people endure and teaches us a lot about life and character

I gave it at least 4 honest tries to listen. The book made me sleep all the time.
I somehow managed till chapter 4, which i listened to in a long haul flight; and it was the best sleep i ever had on a plane. Here's why:

1- Narration - The author speaks in a monotonous, droning voice which makes is almost impossible to retain information
2- I, me and myself: Too much of "i was this and that, and didn't quit and blah" I get that, which is why i bought the book. I didn't want to listen to a life portrait; I was hoping to get a book that may have some insights on how be mentally tough. I didn't see any
3- Too many (at times lengthy) quotes which act like commercial breaks. They were so disconnected, that they made me forget what was being discussed. US Navy Seal motto is an example - It is long, some of us may even know it by heart, but if you read it, all of it....in a droning voice, it is long enough to make one sleep.

The kindle/paper edition should definitely be better. The book does have some info which can be useful, but the narration is too bad.
