Great value for money - epic story and characters

The narrator was great and the mix of characters was even better - Rogue's original power really comes through as one of the most game-changing.

But the unnecessaryly alliterative language of the writing was extremely irritating, esp when read aloud.

Greg Cox really needs to stop trying to outshine the story with his writing. This is Marvel, not Milton.

(If you think I'm being too nit-picky, here's a selection from the first half of Ch 6, Book 3, simple because that's what's playing as I type:

Beastly burden
Flaming fists
Hirsute hero
Attenuated alien
Caustic condescension
Prehensile partner
Pugnacious plan
Bionically blessed
Mutated mitts
Highly hazardous hexes
Super-skrull's scaly serpentine (coils)

See what I mean?)
