One day in November 1994, Lawrence Levy received a phone call out of the blue from Steve Jobs, whom he'd never met, offering him a job running Pixar, a little-known company that had already lost Jobs $50 million.
With Pixar's prospects looking bleak, it was with some trepidation that Levy accepted the position. After a few weeks he discovered that the situation was even worse than he'd imagined. Pixar's advertising division just about broke even, its graphics software had few customers, its short films didn't make any money and, on top of all that, Jobs was pushing to take the company public. Trisection of art, science and business
This is a brilliant book. At the trisection of art, science and business. The book in its brilliant story telling mode adds a 4th dimension of philosophy as well. The book gives amazing trivia throughout the book, the characters that have been your favorite as well. I was hooked.

One more perspective on Pixar and steve jobs
I loved this book. Its been an emotional ride. I read creativity inc and steve jobs long back. This gives an other perspective of the same story. It was an emotional ending. I miss steve jobs.

A thrilling read!
A nice narrated (love the voice) story, taking you into the depth of reality! The books keeps you held on, as you learn about the journey and intricacies of success - and you learn as you listen! A book, I'd recommend to all.

Good book for business enthus
It’s a good book that gives a background into how Pixar became what it is today. Makes you understand how big of an impact it had on entertainment industry. Tapers off a bit towards the end. But gives very good insight into Steve Jobs and his thought process, a very new perspective
