Travel across America with Steinbeck

Travels with Charlie is a monumental piece of American literature which will spur the reader to be more discerning about the folks, the geography, with the smells and flavours and the opinions of people on their next journey. Steinbeck justifiably gives the journey a life of its own, clarifying that it's not the person who takes a trip, but the trip which takes the traveller. Despite being a very personal account Steinbeck manages to convey an idea of its vastness and diversity thanks to his interactions with people over coffee and drinks. Go on your next journey now...
