Kamleshwar is a well-known writer in Hindi literature who has written many novels and stories as well as content for films, television and radio. His Sahitya Academi award-winning novel Kitne Pakistan? has been translated into many Indian and foreign languages. Apart from being a writer, Kamleshwar has also been successful as an editor of publications like Sarika, Dainik Jagran and so on.

यह तो वाद विवाद का विषय हो सकता है कि साहित्य समाज का दर्पण है या नहीं परंतु इन चुने हुए कहानियों के पात्र समाज की विभिन्न मनोदशा ओं का मार्मिक एवं सजीव चित्रण प्रस्तुत करते हैं
इन कहानियों में समाज के यथार्थ गरीबी बेरोजगारी भुखमरी इत्यादि ऐसे विषय हैं जिनका गतिशील चित्रण इन कहानियों में प्रस्तुत किया गया है

Best collection and best narration
It is a superb collection of classic Urdu writers. The stories take you back to a time when Urdu language flourished across the subcontinent. Definitely recommended to all those who wants to go back in time to experience life when it was simple.
Narration by Hema Nikam is superb, her voice modulations, calculated pauses and gaps brings stories to life.
Only if the publisher had a short introduction added for all the writers before each chapter would have been great. Also, there are several typos in the chapter names in audible recording, as seen in the app.
