Each episode takes a deep dive into specific courses of action that are available for helping to treat difficult feelings and low levels of mental health. Through this podcast, my aim is to help individuals understand that they are not alone and that it is ok to prioritize your own needs when it is necessary.

    This third and final episode of Headspace healing delves into the topic of treatment options available for mental health diagnoses and conditions. Alternative treatment options that can help treat depression and anxiety beyond traditional therapy are explored in this episode. This episode features an interview with Mr. Joshua Slepkow, the co-founder of Brainwaves Neuro Restoration Center, based out of Warwick, Rhode Island. Mr. Slepkow shares fascinating and useful information regarding the use of TMS therapy in Brainwaves’ form of treatment, including if it can be used to treat multiple conditions, and what the insurance process entails. This episode closes by discussing coping strategies that people can practice at home including mediation and mindfulness, as well as a coping mechanism that I have found to be helpful, which is listening to music.

This episode features an interview with Dr. Rebecca Brody, an adjunct professor at Dean College with a PhD from Northcentral University in San Diego, California. Dr. Brody shares insights from her own career regarding what to look for when searching for a mental health practitioner, and how a diagnosis can help when it comes to treating or working with a patient that she meets with. This episode closes by discussing some helpful pros with looking into a diagnosis check. A couple of these include working through struggles with a close friend or family member and resuming treatment easily after relocation through coordination of care.
