Hey listeners,This week I’m really excited to introduce you to Imran Khalil. Imran Khalil is the founder of The Fighting Chance, a non-profit movement helping people to get back into the working world. He does some great work with veterans struggling to reintegrate, and those with complex needs. I’ve known Imran for years, so take it from me, this is a man who simply radiates energy. His charisma and social ability is legendary. I first met him in a shared office space, and before he came in, nobody was socially integrated. When the social force of nature that is Imran arrived, he brought all these different character types together and everyone actually started going out. In his own words, he’s a high level schmoozer. I want Imran to share with you what he does for society and what kind of skills his programme can give you. We’re going to learn how we can motivate ourselves using the techniques used in the Fighting Chance. In this podcast, Imran is going to give us some insights from his unique perspective in the fields of recruitment and boxing:- What is The Fighting Chance?- How he was able to marry his passion of boxing with his experience of recruiting - The power that boxing and sport have to engage people- What boxing teaches us about self-discipline, self-control and confidence- The process Imran goes through with each participant in the programme- Finding the one thing that’s holding a person back and working through that- Navigating away from the anxiety caused by debt- Motivating you to just start that business idea you have- The key to fundraising and finding sponsors- Not losing sight of your goals and staying on track for growth - How do you scale growth?- The importance of believing in yourself and how a change of perspective can help you to defeat obstacles- Insights into how to navigate the employment market right now- Standing out with your LinkedIn profile- Tips for self-presentation, image and behaviour at a job interview that transfer easily into the world of dating- Making the most of networking and tips for doing so- Managing data and how it can apply to the dating game- The importance of structure and what tools are available that can help us stick to it- Getting yourself out of a rut- And much moreI hope you found this podcast motivating and that you’re now ready to tackle those goals head on.
