  • When someone literally reduces a normally serious problem to something less than what it is, they are minimizing.

    While that might not sound too horrible, in reality, it can seriously harm your personal wellbeing. From the outside, my minimization may appear to lack many things, including self-worth, respect for myself, and awareness of the world around us. In fact, it can give the impression that I'm rather deluded to outsiders.
