  • Summary

  • Audible presents Social Distancing, an Audible Original series by Chetan Bhagat, starring Angad Bedi, Neha Dhupia and Garima Yagnik. Social Distancing is a modern romantic drama about Rags (Angad Bedi), a successful entrepreneur, leadership coach, father and husband, who finds himself in the crosshairs of a romantic affair with his colleague, Anaya (Garima Yagnik), just as the world is going into lockdown in the wake of COVID-19.

Far more than an affair, Rags has fallen in love with Anaya. Before the pandemic hits, the separation of his business in India allows his relationship with Anaya to grow far away from his perfectly constructed family life with his wife Savi (Neha Dhupia), his son and his in-laws, settled comfortably in posh Dubai society. Anaya has fallen in love with Rags too and is pressuring him to finally make a decision about their future before her doting boyfriend, Vaibhav, proposes.

When the lockdown hits, suddenly cutting off all travel to India, Rags finds himself at risk of losing his business in India, his relationship with Anaya and his entire life unraveling.

Little does Rags know that Savi has a secret all her own.

Star Narrators but Average storyline

Narrators were amazing, loved their performances.
Story line was same old ghusa-pita extra marital plot.

Overall good but the story is disturbing.

Narrators were good but the story was not it was Rag who betrayed the marriage but in the end he blamed it on savi, the way he confessed he portrayed himself as a victim. I do love the author's books a lot but this one it's like it's ok to cheat on marriage (encouraging others to cheat) most of the time he was on trips with his girlfriend. what about the family responsibility, commitment, love, Even his girlfriend was cheating on her boyfriend. why could she go to a married man?

An interesting experience

It was my first experience with an audio novel and was with least expectations.
I was suffering from eye infection and for lack of anything else to do, I tried this and was pretty amazed.
The voice actors did excellently. New respect for them. Special credit to the lead actors.
Of course Chetan Bhagat's script was taut and light and kept it engaging.
Quite an interesting new experience I had.
Recovered but looking forward to more of audiobooks now.

Seems like the author is justying cheating outsid

Morals of the author going south. Can't imagine Chetan even justifying cheating outside marriage

Tit for Tat

Somehow you don't feel sorry for the protagonist. He gets his karma is what matters the most. Simple but nice story

If was unfair on the girl part

the story line was good but the end was not so ncie.. the guy also cheated on her but at the end he ended up making the girl feel that she was the culprit..though he cofnessed but it wont be easy for her to take the loss as she was the one still trying to save her marriage and her son. if the guy was so sure of his love then he should have confess in fornt of his son. anyways end was not so good ..rest all fine

Quite enjoyable

I don't usually like stories by Chetan Bhagat since I had some bad experiences in the past but this one is just such a blast. This is in large part due to fantastic narration done by Angad Bedi and Garima. Angad convincingly manages to convey the comedy, exasperation and worries of his character. He is so good. Also Anaya's character is written in such a way that she never comes across as a bimbo. She has got a real depth to her and Garima's narration does total justice to Anaya's character.
