  • Rev. Amanda Hambrick Ashcraft- The Love of Christmas
    Dec 13 2024

This experience is an invitation—a call to join our spiritual community and engage in this collective contemplative practice. Together, we examine the theology of love and cultivate its practice in our lives.

Our focus is transformation—becoming a Community of Practice. In each episode, we offer practices to help us grow in love, together.

So, make yourself comfortable. Light a candle, grab your journal, and open your heart as we listen, engage, and reflect in this communal space.

Our guest is Rev Amanda Hambrick Ashcraft. the founder of Raising Imagination and Consulting Community Minister at @middlechurch. She is a social engineer, cultural critic, organizer, writer, facilitator, and public theologian who is passionate about the intersections of race, faith, politics, and parenting.

  • Dr. Geoff Holsclaw & Dr. Rod Smith: Attaching to Love
    Nov 17 2024

This is Season 3 where we are focusing on transforming together into a Community of Practice.

Deep faith invites us to securely attach to God, Eternal Love. In my experience, as we go inward to our centering place, we find a source of grounding—a place to anchor ourselves in times that may feel hard to navigate.

Tonight we’ll dive into what it means to live out this truth. Together, we’ll explore what attachment theory has to do with our relationship to God, our relationship to Love.

Our guests are experts on attachment theory.

On his podcast, Attaching to God, Dr. Geoff Holsclaw, a pastor and a professor, connects relational neuroscience and attachment theory to our life of faith so we grow into spiritual and relational maturity.

Dr. Rod Smith was an assistant professor for leadership development at the US Air Force Academy. He connects love, through a conceptual framework on attachment theory to authentic leadership development.

    Resources Mentioned in this Episode:

    Centering Text: Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬-‭19‬ ‭CEB‬‬

To explore more about attachment theory with Geoff and his wife and co-author Cyd, their forthcoming book, Landscapes of the Soul: How the Science and Spirituality of Attachment Can Move You into Confident Faith, Courage, and Connection, is available for pre-order.
