  • Summary

  • Indian cricket enthusiasts often joke about the influence of money, and corruption, and wonder if the wild results in the IPL are “scripted”. Cricketing authorities and media veer away from these subjects to go quickly to the pitches, pink balls, and fluorescent cheerleader outfits.

Welcome to The Dark Side of Cricket, a show that will shine a light on cricket’s not so shiny moments – from match-fixing and Dawood Ibrahim to doping and mental burnout. Keep listening to the Vice Original.

Different POV on the Cricket

I really liked the content and the in-depth study done by the journalist covering a lot of angles on the Cricket.

a sixer all the way

a very illuminating series. Well researched and narrated with passion of an avid cricket lover.

Parthshri Arora has done an awesome job here.
monetisation of cricket and how a game became a cult with an ugly underbelly.

my favourite episode is on unsung heroes of the game... the ground workers... indignity of labour.

highly recommended listen.

Very well researched and presented

Parthshri Arora, take a bow! you have researched and have researched well and unearthed some such stories around the most sought after game in India that should make the who's who of cricketing fraternity sit up and take a resolution regarding doing at least an iota of good to some of the darker shades of the game. You have covered all possible aspects of the game that needs a look in and have also gone on to caution the fall out of the 'fast and furious' quotient being injected into the game and the intrusion of too much technology into the game that is spoiling the charm of the game more than anything else.
