As a former con artist, I love a convoluted, mind-bending scheme as much as the next guy. But as a recently promoted MagiPol agent, I love it significantly less than that guy. Especially when the life of a kidnapped teen hangs in the balance. Between confusing orders and conflicting evidence, this whole investigation has me and my partner, Lienna, spinning in circles. Ian just wanted a job as a quality control tech for the biggest virtual reality game online. Instead, he met the woman of his dreams, who just happens to be a demoness from hell. Ian starts off as a Level 1 Warlock, and after summoning a mischievous imp named Stig as his first servant, goes on a series of quests to win the ultimate prize: a sexy, smoldering succubus who will fulfill his every wish. But Alaria has a mind of her own. When she’s not playfully seducing Ian and then driving him crazy, she’s plotting revenge against shadowy figures from her past.

Between Agent Söze, the treacherous Internal Affairs tyrant whose taken over my precinct, and the super illegal sorcery my partner Lienna was hiding in said precinct—which is now missing—my usual routine of busting magical criminals has fallen apart in favor of hectic damage control. But that went out the window too when a respected Guild Master was found dead. Agent Söze is trying to cover it up, which is all the reason I need to make solving the murder my top priority.

As a con man-turned-MPD-Agent, I'm fairly new to the whole "upholder of justice" thing, but even for me, there are some lines you just don't cross. Agent Söze of the MPD's Internal Affairs department, on other hand, seems determined to slime his way across every ethical line in existence like an over-sized eel on a power trip.

Agent Kit Morris. Has a nice ring, doesn't it? It's a big step up from "wanted criminal" or "that weird con-artist guy with weirder psychic powers", both of which recently applied to me. But my promotion to MagiPol agent comes with a few drawbacks. First, supremely talented and effortlessly gorgeous Agent Lienna Shen won't agree to a dinner date with me. Second, my new assignment has pitted me against a guild with very bad taste in pets. Third, those pets are demons, and those demons want to kill me.

Mo’ honeys, mo’ problems. And Ian’s got all sorts of problems.There’s a cursed sapphire, a bunch of helpless fairies, an evil hobgoblin, and a puppet mobster made out of wood. Not to mention a vicious troll, although not the videogame kind. As long as he has his gorgeous succubus Alaria by his side,and a little help from Stig the imp, nothing is impossible...right?

In this irreverent take on the holidays, Ian gets a new quest in a virtual reality video game: kill a monstrous villain named Sinter Klaws. (And no, he is NOT a jolly old elf.) Join Ian, his succubus Alaria, and his imp Stig as they journey through a winter wonderland full of killer reindeer, lecherous elves, and the worst mall Santa in the history of the world.

Underwater mayhem ensues when Ian, Stig, and Alaria fight her sixth evil ex-master deep on the ocean floor! The villain is a cheerfully insane artist who creates a sculpture garden of...well...you’ll just have to listen to believe it. There are beautiful nymphs...gorgeous mermaids...pirate ghosts...giant whirlpools...underwater dungeons...hidden treasure...and even a kraken.

Maybe I have an overactive imagination, but the hot guy next door totally gives off serial killer vibes. Why else would he know how long it takes to bleed out from a wound? Yeah, ok, so I asked, but it was research. Being an author definitely makes for some odd questions (someone had better clear my browser history when I die, that's all I'm saying). It's not like I'm stalking my hot neighbor or anything—there's nothing wrong with watching him out my window. Although I might have my own stalker (and not the cute harmless kind), which is kind of terrifying.

It's hot demon chicks vs. angelic babes! Ian and his succubus Alaria make their way to a gleaming city on the sea where multiple dangers await: a goblin mob boss. An underworld of thugs. And roving packs of vicious demons. Most dangerous of all: Alaria's tendency to bed every hot chick she sees. Drama ensues and the couple's future is in question, when in walks the most beautiful angel Ian's ever laid eyes on. Literally. She has wings, a halo, the whole bit. Can a sex demoness and a holy roller learn to get along? Relationships. Sometimes they're heaven…sometimes they're hell.

Only trouble is, she's a demoness from hell. In a videogame. And now he has to go and rescue her. There will be pirates in airships, lustful female elves, and an insanely powerful warlock intent on destroying Ian, Alaria, and Stig.

Moving to the sleepy town of Havens Hallow, Massachusetts, during my senior year hadn't been part of my future plans. Not to mention the ancient house my father bought sits next to the creepiest place imaginable—a graveyard full of battered stone statues.
