El Anticristo es una obra que trata de desnudar a la religión cristiana desde el análisis de su historia, sus documentos y sus hechos más notorios. Nietzsche hace una crítica poderosa y potente a los pilares básicos del cristianismo en una obra dividida en capítulos cortos y que van desengranando su idea y sus razonamientos. En la obra también realiza análisis de otras religiones dominantes, sin embargo, es a la cristiana a la que presta más atención.
